Sometimes quick mode feels as if it’s going too quick. In both single player and multi-player game modes, quick provides a great cycle through all the time eras, reasonable technology research rates, as well as adequate production speed. So a quick play time speed will keep the duration as short as possible. This is a popular option because the games in Civ 5 have a reputation of taking long hours to complete a single game (usually requires over 5 hours of playing). A quick game goes up to 330 turns (how many times you press the “next turn” button until you land on a time victory or defeat). Probably the most popular speed used by players to this date. I will go into each speed that considers both single player and multiplayer playthroughs, and list their pros and cons.
